![]() While reading here, I found a lot of people using unraid. Backblaze charges 7 per month or 70 per year and offers unlimited cloud backup storage for one computer. ![]() Would it be reasonable to run unraid with a small always-on Windows VM that just performs my backups for me? Is there any strong reason to pick one over the other? My client machines are all on the same local network and are a mixture of Windows and Macs. You can also pay 130 every two years for the service. Overall my goal is to make this reliable and simple to use. Who knows.I’m not looking to spend a fortune but do not need the absolute cheapest build possible either. In fact, it might be better to just get the personal backup option in case there are things that I need to download individually instead of getting a full restore with the B2 Cloud. It would be cheaper for me to get that instead of B2 Cloud Storage after the total size of my stuff exceeds 1TB. The personal backup option doesn’t have a limit to how much data can be uploaded, and you get free downloads. It looks like they have a “personal backup” thing for $5/month ( ), which is the same price as Amazon Drive. Backblaze looks like a pretty good application to use, but I had a question. I used to use Amazon Drive, but now that they banned rclone I’m going to be looking for something different. I use it to back up photos and other important documents. I’ve got an Ubuntu Server computer running with 3TB of RAID storage.
